The Brave Hearts
COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS
Brave Hearts brings together people carrying different stories, experiences and ways of healing.
However you enter this community, you are welcome to participate at your own pace.
Come as You Are You don't need the right words, a certain place in your healing, or a story you're ready to share. Participate, listen, observe — or simply be here.
Heal Out Loud, In Your Own Way Giving words to what you're carrying — out loud, in a journal, with someone you trust — so you don't have to carry it silently. You are always invited to find the words. You are never required to share them.
Honour Each Person's Story Every experience is its own. There is no hierarchy of pain here.
Listen Without Trying to Fix Sometimes presence is the most meaningful thing we can offer. If you'd like to give advice, ask first.
Share From Your Own Experience Speak from what you've lived, not what you think someone else's healing should look like.
Respect Privacy Your story is yours to share. Someone else's belongs to them.
Protect Vulnerable Moments No live-streaming or recording during healing circles or personal sharing. Some moments are meant to be experienced, not documented.
Honour Boundaries and Consent Ask before offering advice, physical contact, or bringing someone's story into a conversation. A "no," a pause, or no response is always respected.
Make Room for Every Voice No bullying, harassment, discrimination or language meant to shame or harm. We can hold different perspectives with kindness.
Be Mindful of What Others May Be Carrying Honest conversations are welcome. A gentle heads-up before something heavy gives people the choice to continue, pause or return.
Care for Yourself, Too Step away, silence notifications, opt out of what feels too heavy. Protecting your own capacity isn't letting anyone down.
Help Us Protect the Community Bring concerns to the Brave Hearts team. They'll be handled thoughtfully and behaviour that compromises safety may lead to participation being paused or ended.
A Gentle but Important Note Brave Hearts is not a substitute for medical care, therapy or crisis support. Please reach out to a qualified professional or emergency service when that's what's needed.
Our Shared Commitment None of us will get every moment perfectly. What matters is entering with care, staying open to learning, and taking responsibility when our words affect someone else.
Come as you are. Take part in the way that feels right for you.
