ABOUT BRAVE HEARTS

What is Brave Hearts?

Brave Hearts is a body, mind + soul healing community for people navigating grief, trauma and other hard chapters in life.

Through meaningful experiences, practical tools and genuine connection, we create space to reconnect with yourself and others.

Who is Brave Hearts for?

Brave Hearts is for anyone moving through a difficult or life-changing season, including grief, trauma, heartbreak, burnout, loneliness or disconnection.

You do not need a particular story, experience or label to belong here.

Is Brave Hearts only for people experiencing grief?

No. Grief is part of many people’s stories, but Brave Hearts is not a traditional grief group.

People join for many different reasons. Your experience does not need to look like anyone else’s to be welcomed and supported.

What does body, mind + soul healing mean?

We believe healing involves every part of who we are.

Experiences may include movement, breathwork, reflection, creativity, conversation, rest or connection. You are always encouraged to listen to your body and participate in ways that feel right for you.

What does Healing Out Loud mean?

Healing Out Loud means creating space for honest experiences so we do not have to carry everything silently.

You will never be expected to speak publicly or share your story. It is about openness without shame, pressure or pretending everything is okay.

OUR EXPERIENCE SERIES

What is a Brave Hearts Experience Series?

An Experience Series brings the same group together for thoughtfully connected experiences exploring five themes:

Release → Rest → Express → Reconnect → Breathe

The series offers time to discover supportive practices and build meaningful connections.

What happens during a Brave Hearts experience?

Each experience is different, but all are designed to feel welcoming, meaningful and grounded.

You may be invited to move, breathe, create, reflect, rest, learn or connect. Clear guidance is provided, and you choose how to participate.

Details about what to expect, bring and prepare will be shared before each experience.

Do I need to attend the entire series?

The series is designed as a connected journey, with each experience building on the last. Full attendance also allows trust and connection to grow.

Any attendance expectations will be explained before registration.

Do I need experience with breathwork, meditation or other healing practices?

Not at all. Experiences are suitable for all levels, including beginners.

You will be guided through each activity and encouraged to move at your own pace. There is no right way to participate.

Will I be expected to share my story?

No. You can speak, listen, participate quietly or simply be present.

You will never be required to share personal details or explain why you joined.

What if I come alone?

You can absolutely come alone. Many people do.

You will be welcomed and gently guided into the space, with no pressure to connect or open up immediately.

What should I wear or bring?

This depends on the experience. We will share everything you need to know before you arrive, including what to wear, bring and expect.

SAFETY + SUPPORT

Is Brave Hearts therapy or counselling?

No. Brave Hearts is not therapy, counselling or a replacement for professional mental health care.

We offer community-based experiences, practical tools and connection. These are not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need clinical support, please contact a qualified professional or appropriate crisis service.

Who leads the experiences?

Brave Hearts works with trusted facilitators and practitioners experienced in the activities they lead.

Facilitator and experience details will be shared before registration whenever possible.

What if an activity does not feel comfortable?

Your comfort, consent and boundaries matter.

You can pause, modify an activity or choose not to participate. Listen to your body and choose what feels safe and supportive.

Is what I share kept confidential?

We ask everyone to respect the privacy of others and keep personal stories shared within the group confidential.

Photography and recording are not permitted during private or personal portions. If Brave Hearts photographs an experience, you will be informed and can choose whether to be included.

THE BRAVE HEARTS COMMUNITY

What is the Brave Hearts Community on OneLight?

It is an online space to connect with others, receive updates and stay connected between in-person experiences.

You can join quietly and participate at your own pace. You do not need to share your story or introduce yourself before you are ready.

Do I need to attend an experience before joining?

No. You do not need to attend an experience or know anyone before joining.

The community is another way to begin. Take your time finding your place.
